Fourth of July, a fun day at the beach and splash park. Hubby had the grill filled to the brim with leg quarters…just because we Love them. ~smile~ I needed a new way to cook corn besides the every day, ho hum, boiling method. I do love it off the cob and fried..mmmmmm!!!!
This is an easy peasy, roasted in the oven, with the husk on, way to cook corn on the cob! No prep work needed. Yeah, I’ll all for that! It was so sweet and delicious, we didn’t add a thing to it. No butter, salt, pepper, garlic, herbs … nothing at all. Of course, you may want to enhance the corn by doing so.
Oven Roasted Corn
Ingredients
- corn on the cob, trim overhanging husk and silk
- butter, optional
- salt, optional
- pepper, optional
- herbs, optional
- blend seasoning, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place corn on the cob in preheated oven, directly on the center rack, Bake 25 to 35 minutes, turning over at 15 minutes, until kernels are soft. Remove from oven and let cool at least 5 minutes. Use gloves, if needed, to pull back husks and silk. Smother with butter, herbs and seasoning, if desired.
Note: You may want to place a piece of foil on the bottom…juice from the corn may drip.
