Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats
ingredients

1/2 cup steel cut oats
1 cup water
1 cup milk
pinch salt
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

Heat water and milk to a boil.  Add steel cut oats and reduce to a simmer.  Cook 25 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until desired consistency.  Add brown sugar and cinnamon.  Serve warm with additional milk, brown sugar and/or cinnamon, if desired.
