The sweet taste of apple cider blends with spices and a light coating of apple cider powdered sugar
Shall we dare make this over the top with a glass of apple cider?
Spices speckle the moist slice of Apple Cider Pound Cake. Feel free to add or reduce spices to suit your taste. You could even replace them with apple pie spice.

Apple Cider Spice Pound Cake
ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup margarine, room temperature
3 cups sugar
6 eggs, room temperature
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamon, optional
1 cup apple cider, room temperature
Apple Cider Powdered Sugar
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon apple cider
Directions Apple Cider Pound Cake:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease tube pan. Beat butter and margarine until fluffy. Add sugar, one cup at a time, until mixed. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Whisk together dry ingredients. Alternately, add dry ingredients and apple cider to batter, starting and ending with dry. Pour into greased tube pan. Bake in preheated 325 degree F. oven 60 to 75 minutes until toothpick inserted in middle, comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes in pan. Run a knife around edges, remove from pan and cool on rack. Sift Apple Cider Powdered Sugar over top while warm.
Directions for Apple Cider Powdered Sugar:
Whisk together and sift top of cake.
