My boys love ice cream, frozen yogurt and popsicles. I have been trying to make healthier recipes for my boys….trying. Since they have been asking for ice cream for days now,, I thought I would make frozen yogurt instead. Using four ingredients it is easy peasy. Get your blender out and make this delicious frozen treat. The hardest part is the wait!
Frozen Banana Yogurt
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups non fat yogurt
- 1/3 cup honey, or to your desired sweetness
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Put all ingredients in a blender and puree, or whatever the button is to make it incorporated, until it is, well, incorporated.
Pour into a shallow pan that is freezer safe. I used a stainless steel lasagne pan.
Freeze until hard. Break apart and pulse in a food processor until smooth. I did mine in a little food chopper so it took several times to do it.
You can also use your blender or mixer.
Eat now as soft serve or
return to freezer until hard enough to scoop.
Top with your favorites. My boys like it just as it is.
